SMHC Welcomes New Primary Care Providers to Biddeford, Kennebunk, and Sanford

BIDDEFORD, MaineSouthern Maine Health Care (SMHC) is pleased to welcome new primary care providers, Keith J. Bourgeois, NP, RN, to Kennebunk, Eric Eisenberg, MD, to Sanford, Karyn R. A. King, MD, to Kennebunk, Robert Lyman, DO, to Biddeford, Daniel North, DO, to Kennebunk, and Brittany Grace Whitaker, DO, to Sanford primary care practices.

Keith J. Bourgeois, NP-C, previously practiced at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, Maine, and has served the Greater Portland area for over twenty years. He is a board certified nurse practitioner and completed his degree at the University of Southern Maine. He also practices as a nurse practitioner in the United States Army Reserve Nurse Corps.

Eric Eisenberg, MD, was most recently an Internal Medicine Physician at Skyhaven Internal Medicine in Rochester, New Hampshire. He completed his residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and a Fellowship in Nephrology at Boston Medical Center. He is also a graduate of Rutgers College. Dr. Eisenberg completed at his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. His clinical interests are hypertension, depression, and heart disease.

Karyn R. A. King, MD, is a Maine native and grew up in Caribou, ME. She attended Colby College for her undergraduate education. She completed her medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She completed her family medicine specific training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Presbyterian-Shadyside Family Medicine program in Pittsburgh, PA. Her clinical interest are Women’s health, LGBTQ+ care, contraceptive counseling and prenatal care.

Robert Lyman, DO, was a resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completed his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His clinical interests include preventative medicine, weight loss, plant based diet, and lipid management.

Daniel North, DO, was most recently chief resident at Albany Medical Center, family medicine. He completed his medical degree at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and holds a biology degree from University of New Hampshire.

Brittany Grace Whitaker, DO, previously practiced as a family medicine resident at Samaritan Health Services, Corvallis, Oregon and is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Whitaker completed her medical degree at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Biddeford, Maine.
