The Education Department in collaboration with Western Maine AHEC also supports staff and community –based conferences in coordination with major health care-related topics at the Ben Franklin Conference Center, bringing outside specialists in their fields to share their expertise. In addition, the Western Maine AHEC collaborates with colleges and other partnerships to offer on-site clinical experiences and courses for health care professions at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Our goal of providing an environment for learning and collaboration through a combination of onsite meetings and distance education is carried out by our team of highly qualified and experienced staff including: point-of-care coordination, clinical nursing instructors, clinical resource manager, nursing administration, grants and student placement coordination.
