Our Ben Franklin Center hosts many educational conferences each year, bringing outside specialists in their fields to share their expertise. We are located in the heart of the scenic Western Mountains region, making us a convenient and attractive choice for any gathering. Our goal of providing an environment for learning and collaboration through a combination of onsite meetings and distance education is carried out by our team of highly qualified and experienced staff. Individuals, nonprofit local agencies, and state and national organizations have chosen the Ben Franklin Center as their host for meetings, conferences, and seminars. Our spacious and attractive meeting rooms offer the unique combination of comfort and technology and our staff is here to assist in every phase of your event to ensure the highest level of satisfaction. We are one of four AHEC sites in the state of Maine.

The Ben Franklin Center is home to our Education Department that provides many services for our employees, such as continuing education for CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP and other programs. Collaboration with physicians to provide Cardiology Grand Rounds, Good Morning CMEs, Tumor Board, and the Adult Medicine Series on a regular basis keeps our physicians and other health care professionals current in the profession. Computer-based learning within a variety of health care topics is also available for employees, and we maintain current transcripts of all our employee programs. The Education Department also provides many community services, such as CPR and First Aid courses for the general public and sponsorship of major health care-related conferences at the Ben Franklin Center. In addition, the Education Department collaborates with Maine colleges to offer on-site clinical experiences and courses for health care professions at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
