Dr. Michael Roberts is a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon, who specializes in both primary and complex revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. He completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the prestigious Brigham and Women's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His training included advanced techniques such as the muscle-sparing anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty, robotic-assisted procedures for hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, alongside complex revision hip and knee surgery.
Dr. Roberts is dedicated to enhancing his patients' quality of life and mobility. He believes that the bond between a patient and their joint replacement surgeon is a lifelong partnership. Committed to understanding each patient's unique needs, he invests time in developing tailored nonsurgical and surgical treatment plans. With a focus on compassion and expertise, Dr. Roberts is honored to assist patients in overcoming hip and knee pain.
Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Dr. Roberts graduated with honors in Biology and Economics from the University of Miami. He pursued his medical degree at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Vermont. He and his wife are excited to be part of the Maine community, where they enjoy being close to family and friends.
