Martin W Moehlen

I care for patients with liver disease, including those with cirrhosis and the need for liver transplantation. My clinical interests include viral hepatitis (hepatitis B and C), fatty liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, alcohol-associated liver disease, cholestatic liver disease and genetic diseases of the liver. I work with patients one-on-one to help diagnose and treat their liver condition and associated complications. I want to address the unmet treatment needs of patients with liver disease by providing them access to clinical trials. I also aspire to enhance the educational environment for medical and surgical residents/fellows at Maine Medical Center. In my free time, I enjoy exploring Maine through outdoor adventures with my wife (a native Mainer) and two children.
