As a rural family physician, I provide broad-based care for my patients, including colonoscopies, joint injections, and removal of skin lesions. This has been a longstanding effort to improve access to care. I try to listen carefully to my patients and to be available. Not everything in medicine is known, and I strive to be upfront about uncertainties and complexities. After graduating from Mt Blue, I have been away for a long time, and it is a pleasure to return to the landscape and culture I always enjoyed. Outside interests include farm work and logging with my draft horses, writing poetry, hiking, and sauna.
