A hospitalization can be an extremely stressful time for patients and their loved ones, and I find it very fulfilling to help people navigate this process. My work requires broad knowledge and critical thinking about a huge array of illnesses, combined with intensive communication with patients, their support networks, and the interdisciplinary team of hospital care providers. I am originally from the Portland area, and after two years of hospital medicine work in rural Alaska, I am excited to bring what I have learned back to my home state. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and downhill skiing.
