Christopher A Wellins, MD

Dr. Chris Wellins has been with what is now called MaineHealth since he started his residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland in 1993.  Upon completion of residency he joined the Greater Portland Medical Group in Cape Elizabeth Maine where he still practices part time. During his residency he completed a Masters in the Evaluative Clinical Sciences at Dartmouth College.  He was the first Physician Advisor at MaineHealth and has built the program into a multi-physician group that provides Physician Advisor Services for all MaineHealth hospitals. Dr. Wellins celebrates his lifelong love of the ocean by getting out on the water as often as he can.
