Christopher G Turner, MD
- Surgery, Pediatric Surgery

In college, I studied chemistry and volunteered at the local fire department and free clinic. I enjoyed learning the simple principles of science, working with my hands, and being involved in the lives of others. In medical school, I discovered general surgery as the natural application of those interests. I remember watching my first pediatric operation: an open appendectomy. The surgeon was gentle, kind and exact. I loved it and wanted to be a part of it. Now, after ten years of additional training, I am a pediatric surgeon. It is a pleasure to meet children and their families and a privilege to help them through some difficult times.
Outside of work, my wife and I like to hike in the summer and to ski in the winter. I also enjoy trying to build furniture (or at least making piles of shavings with my hand planes).
