Blair C. Baldwin, DO
- Surgery (General Surgery)
I pursued a career in general surgery in order to help patients navigate a variety of challenges with surgery. Many patients are nervous or fearful about elective or emergency surgery. I try to use objective data and images to describe care and procedures in order to help patients make informed decisions. I use a variety of minimally-invasive and robotic surgery techniques to try to help patients have as smooth a recovery as possible. I performed residency training in General Surgery at Berkshire Medical Center and completed fellowship training in bariatric and complex robotic abdominal surgery at Baptist Health South Florida in Miami, FL. I practiced in central Maine for 7 years prior to moving to MaineHealth. My interests include complex abdominal wall/hernia surgery, robotic surgery, enhanced recovery after surgery, foregut surgery, hiatal hernia repairs, anti-reflux surgery, barrett’s esophagus, revisional bariatric surgery, gallbladder, and diverticulitis surgery. My outside interests include chasing after 3 wild kids, coaching youth sports, skiing, and Boston sports teams.
