Ashley E Mychak

Since 2019, I have had the privilege of providing podiatric care, both surgical and nonsurgical, to my patients in central Maine. I am excited to bring my expertise and experience to MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital. I believe that patient-centered care is paramount to success. I often tell my patients, “Your foot is my foot until we get it healed.” My patients come in with a myriad of concerns and complaints, from painful bunions to saving a limb from a severe diabetic infection. Appreciating the person attached to that foot and collaboratively working towards a comprehensive solution is vital to healing.

In my free time I enjoy exploring Maine with my fiancé and am an avid reader. I enjoy both lecturing at regional conferences as well as hands-on teaching to other podiatrists new techniques. Additionally, I have served as President for the Maine Podiatric Medical Association since 2021.

I completed my reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgical fellowship at Ankle and Foot Care Centers/Northside Regional Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, in 2018, and completed my residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2017.
