Adam N Paine

I grew up in Bowdoin, Maine and attended Colby College in Waterville. After leaving the state for training, I always looked forward to returning. Following college, I completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health prior to attending Medical School at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where I stayed for my surgical residency. I then completed my cardiac surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

I am trained to perform all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and am grateful for the opportunity to help patients at a very vulnerable time in their lives. I enjoy cardiac surgery because it allows us to put a patient’s life back on track after receiving a challenging, life-limiting, diagnosis.

When not in the hospital, I love spending time in the great outdoors of Maine with my wife and son.
