Genevieve S Whiting, MD

I feel so honored to care for children and their families. As a general pediatrician, I am humbled that families trust me with what is most precious to them, their children. I enjoy watching the growth of my patients through their lifecycle from birth to early adulthood, as well as the growth of their caregivers. I have the daily opportunity to think critically about medicine and to educate families in how best to care for their children in sickness and in health. I am particularly interested in how people communicate about their health and find that, through careful listening, I can best address what is most important to each individual and family.

I love to teach families, staff, students and residents and enjoy learning from each of these interactions. When I am not at work, I love exploring Portland and beyond with my husband and son. Particularly, I love the ocean and great food.
