Susan Miesfeldt, MD
- Internal Medicine

I was drawn to medical oncology because of rapid and exciting scientific advancements directly impacting the care of cancer patients. This interest influenced my career path as a clinician and health services researcher dedicated to cancer genetic risk assessment and counseling. It is my privilege to support the assessment of those at elevated cancer risk due to personal or family history. There is great benefit to understanding one’s risk and in taking the steps necessary to either prevent cancer or to catch it at a treatable stage through effective screening and early detection. I enjoy all outdoor sports and serve on a regular basis as a medical volunteer in Tanzania.
