I am a graduate of Yale University (BS, molecular biophysics and biochemistry) and the University of California, Los Angeles (PhD, immunology and MD). I have conducted research regarding T cell immunology and pathogenesis of HIV and malaria, and was previously involved in NIH-funded HIV vaccine research in Kampala, Uganda. At PBMC, I practice outpatient internal medicine and provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultation services including HIV and travel medicine. My wife and I decided to leave the academics world to start a family in Maine and were happy to find PBMC in 2005.
