Stanley Chaleff

Every day I know that I have an opportunity to help the children and families in the community I have chosen to raise my own family in. Maine is a place that I moved to in 2008 from Chicago, and my wife and I love the people and culture. I traveled all my life and when I came to Maine, I finally felt like I was home. I love all that Maine has to offer.

From early in medical school I knew that I wanted to take care of children with cancer and blood disorders. Every day is a challenge, but I also know that over 80% of the kids with cancer that I am involved in their care will be cured. I also believe in the team approach and I am very fortunate that the whole team at Maine Children’s Cancer Program has outstanding physicians, nurses, and social workers, in addition to all the other staff.
