MaineHealth Produce Rx
Fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet. That’s why the MaineHealth Produce Rx, a produce prescription program, is designed to improve your overall health and well-being by eating more fruits and vegetables.
Live well with more fruits and vegetables
If you are an eligible program participant, MaineHealth will send you a digital produce benefit card that you can use to buy fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables at most grocery stores.
How does it work?
- We will text or email you a link to a benefit card with money on it for you to spend on fresh and frozen produce.
- You will get $60 each month for the first 6 months, and then $30 each month for the next 3 months.
- You can use your benefit card to pay for produce at most grocery stores.
- When you’re ready to check out, open the link on your phone and click Pay with Card or show a printed copy of the email.
- The cashier will scan the barcode to pay for produce in your cart.
