Please note that MaineHealth does NOT have a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with OpenEvidence, so you should NOT submit PHI or other sensitive data within your queries there. Even though OpenEvidence advertises itself as HIPAA-compliant when a user agrees to its BAA document, such individual BAAs do not cover the sharing of MaineHealth data with external parties.
MaineHealth has tried to negotiate a BAA agreement with OpenEvidence, but thus far has not come to acceptable terms with them. If that changes, there will be a communication advising of such.
