Why MaineHealth Maine Medical Center?
I did an away rotation here and fell in love with the program. The mixture of excellent surgical volume, how confident and capable the residents are even with complex cases, how the attendings teach, and the the collegial, supportive culture differentiates MMC. Prior to my away rotation, I had no expectation of leaving the Philadelphia area but was so impressed and was sure it would be the best place to train. Living in a beautiful, coastal area didn't hurt either.
