I had the opportunity to rotate at Maine Medical Center during my 4th year of medical school, and I immediately felt at home. The people of Portland were so welcoming, and the hospital community reflected that same warmth and collaboration. I was struck by the strong sense of teamwork among the attending and resident physicians, who were not only exceptional teachers, but also deeply committed to patient-centered care. Maine Medical’s reputation for high-quality, compassionate care was evident, and I know it’s an ideal environment to grow as a physician. Having lived in New England for the past 11 years, I’m eager to continue serving this community, caring for the people of Maine (and enjoying a lobster roll or two in the summer)!
