As a Tufts Maine Track student, I was fortunate enough to complete the majority of my clinical rotations at MMC. I grew accustomed to Maine Med’s culture of supportive, approachable care, making the decision of where to pursue residency a simple one. My rotation within the anesthesia department further reinforced my desire to become a MMC resident: the team made clear their strong commitment to resident success both within and beyond the walls of the hospital, all the while prioritizing learner education in a safe environment. An added bonus? Portland is my favorite city in the world and I never want to leave, so MMC’s location is a huge plus!

I simply can’t choose just one! Po’ Boys and Pickles has the best sandwiches/salads in town (try the macaroons!), The Portland Zoo has great drinks and amazing service, and a new fave of mine is Schulte and Herr!
