Before medical school I worked in clinical anesthesiology research.

When searching for the right residency, I prioritized finding a group of instructors and colleagues who cared about my growth as a person and clinician, a high volume of high acuity cases that would provide the exposure I need to achieve confidence in my clinical skills, and an enriching environment outside the hospital to allow me to recharge. Maine Medical Center has all of these, and after my interview I had no difficulty imaging myself training here. When I opened the letter saying I had matched, my wife and I were ecstatic, and I knew I made the right choice.
