Medical interests
Honestly a little of everything. Anesthesia is a good fit for me personally, but in addition to pain science and OR medicine, I'm interested in sports medicine, rehab, preventive care, and the impact genetic screenings can have on outcomes.
What did you do before medical school?
A lot! I'm a physical therapist and have been working in acute inpatient wound care for the past 5 years! I also did OP worker's comp and home health PT work
Why MaineHealth Maine Medical Center?
I wanted somewhere where I could get a good education and training in a program that wasn't so big I disappear or so small I have no support. I want to be able to do fun things that make me feel alive after work, which means I wanted to be somewhere outside activities are right out the door instead of hours away. I love the Northeast for the culture, attitude, beauty, and proximity to anything you could want and I especially loved the access to the ocean of coastal Maine. Every resident and faculty member I spoke to at Maine Health loved it and was transparent in a way that made me feel like I could belong there.
