Biddeford Pool! My grandma has been renting the same house there for Labor Day weekend for my entire (and basically my father’s entire) life. Southern Maine has always been a super cherished place for me, so it's amazing that I now get to call it home.

I spent two gap years working at a clinical genomics company in Baltimore, MD. Think send-out genetic testing; we would take patient’s solid tumor samples, extract and sequence their tumor DNA, and then make recommendations for targeted therapies based on their mutations.  

I grew up lifeguarding at a local pool for my summer job; was truly both the best and worst of times. Pros included teaching kids how to swim, working with my friends, and being outside all day. Cons included sunburns, having to think about pool chemistry, and the occasional AFR (accidental fecal release).

Because it offers a close-knit community of people providing outstanding medical training in a place where I have access to so SO many of the hobbies/friends/family that I hold dear.
