FARMINGTON, Maine — Aaron Myler from News Center Maine visited Mount Blue High School in Farmington, Maine to participate in one of our Let’s Go! Culinary Skills for School Meals Training classes.
The Culinary Skills for School Meals training is a 5-day hands-on intensive culinary training for school nutrition professionals focusing on foundations for food service, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and kitchen efficiencies, to improve the culinary skills of school nutrition professionals.
This summer, 75 school nutrition professionals from 11 districts across Maine, participated in the program. Together, they will be bringing healthier recipes into school lunch programs in Maine.
