MaineHealth Care at Home (MHCAH) is pleased to receive a $150,000 gift toward the Poulin Family Nursing Education Fund by Paul Poulin.
Established in 1994 by the late Dr. Muriel Poulin, the Poulin Family Nursing Education Fund provides grants to agency nurses pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in nursing, Since its inception, the Fund has supported the advancement of more than forty nurses.
“Through the generosity of Muriel, Paul Poulin, and the extended Poulin family, our nurses have been able to benefit from the advanced education opportunities that support their work at MaineHealth Care at Home, and to further their careers” states Donna DeBlois, President of MHCAH. “The generosity of this family has allowed us to develop the skills and knowledge of our nurses to deliver the highest quality of care to the patients we serve. This gift will help perpetuate Muriel’s immense, positive impact on our agency and health care as a whole in Maine.”
Paul Poulin, brother of Dr. Poulin, is proud of the impact of the Fund, stating “home care nurses are instrumental for keeping older adults independent and safe in the comfort of home.”
