John M Fallon II
I grew up just outside of Worcester, Massachusetts. In high school a teacher brought us to observe a heart surgery and I was hooked. I attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine where an initial love for the state of Maine began. I then graduated from UMASS Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts followed by general surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. At Dartmouth, I worked for two years researching cardiac surgery outcomes on a regional and national level. After obtaining board certification in general surgery, I graduated from cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where I served as chief resident. I enjoy all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, but am specifically interested in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive approaches. To be a cardiac surgeon is a privilege, honor, and an amazingly rewarding experience. I am committed to skillfully and compassionately helping patients navigate their cardiac disease and return them home with a “new” heart. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife and two daughters as well as playing tennis, boating, skiing and running.
