Sigrid E Berg

I moved to Maine after completing my hematology/oncology fellowship in 2008 and have been caring for Mainers with blood and cancer disorders since that time. The field of hematology/oncology has been changing at an incredibly rapid pace since then; the breadth and depth of expertise among the specialists providing care through the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network allows Mainers easy access to the most up-to-date therapies and technologies, and I was honored to join their ranks in 2021.

I feel passionately that my patients should have a clear understanding of their disease processes, treatment options/toxicities, and goals of care, and to that end, I strive to encourage open communication at every turn.

When I am not caring for patients, I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and spending quality time with my husband and two children.
