Curriculum

Our curriculum is organized in a 4 week block scheduling format.

There are four core rotations:

  • Critical Care Medicine
  • Neurocritical Care
  • Surgical Critical Care
  • Cardiovascular Critical Care

Each core rotation will be for a minimum of eight weeks.

All rotations will include:

  • Formal didactics
  • Ultrasound training
  • Simulation
  • Introductions to research and formal evaluations
  • Multiple, inter-professional learning experiences with physician residents and fellows

Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation & Simulation

The Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation and Simulation at Maine Medical Center offers high-tech and realistic simulation, allowing medical students, residents, and medical staff to learn new techniques and enhance their skills through repeated practice and review.
