About Our Groups & Events

What: This is an opportunity to give and receive support from others. This group welcomes sharing about experiences that are sometimes hard to talk about such as confusing or extreme thoughts/beliefs, thoughts of suicide, hearing voices, or seeing visions. In this group we invite perspectives that might be different from the traditional model found in many treatment programs. Two peer support partners will facilitate the group, both of whom identify with having personally struggled with some of these experiences.

When: Tuesdays 4-5pm

What: A youth peer support group to talk and play games (trivia, Pictionary, RPG, and more). Open to folks 14-18 who want to gab about navigating the struggles and joys of life. This group is an opportunity to give and receive peer support while building connection with youth who have shared experiences. This group is facilitated by two young adult peer support partners who also identify with these experiences.

What: A group of youth with direct experiences navigating mental health systems, substance use challenges, and other state systems. This group will shape the groundwork and help build the Youth Peer Support Statewide Network. This includes deciding on the groups we should run, activities to do, and help creating language around our values and mission. Re-Imagining Alternatives to Youth Mental Health Support: Building a youth & young adult peer support network in Maine

What: The Youth Peer Support Statewide Network (YPSSN) wants to hear from you as we build a new community, for and by youth with mental health struggles. Re-imagine with us and use your experience, wisdom, and knowledge to shape the YPSSN. All community members across Maine are welcome! We especially welcome youth and adults who work with or are in relationship with youth. We will begin the event with a short description of the YPSSN. Then we will dive into community conversation in small break out rooms.

Who: Community members of all ages are welcome.
