Westbrook, Maine (Oct. 9, 2017): During the northeast leg of his Break the Cycle cross-county tour to raise awareness about children’s mental illness and treatment, Andrés Martin, MD, MPH, a child and adolescent psychiatrist and prominent member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) visited Spring Harbor Hospital in Westbrook from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, and then the Community Bicycle Center in Biddeford from 3:00 – 4:00 pm.

Dr. Martin has been leading this cross-country bike ride from Washington state to Washington, DC, during the summer and fall of 2017, to raise awareness about the challenges faced by children with mental illnesses. He and his colleague, Suman Baddam, MD, met with medical staff at Spring Harbor and then traveled to the Community Bicycle Center to meet with youth who are training for the Trek across Maine.
