Strike Out Cancer in Kids

Strike Out Cancer in Kids (SOCK) is a fundraising program that supports Maine Children's Cancer Program (MCCP), provider of comprehensive care to children with cancer and blood disorders in Maine and beyond. This special program is driven by the Portland Sea Dogs, along with local businesses and individual community members (like you!) who all have the same goal in mind: to defeat childhood cancer once and for all.

Thanks to the incredible support this program receives, Strike Out Cancer in Kids has raised vital funding and awareness for MCCP over the past 25 years. What makes this program extra special: each year, a patient is honored as a Slugger Kid, acting as a SOCK ambassador and enjoying a summer of baseball and fame. This year, we’re going virtual to celebrate and honor all 25 of our Slugger Kids by sharing their incredible stories with our community.

Your participation in Strike Out Cancer in Kids will make a significant difference in the lives of children in Maine and New Hampshire fighting childhood cancer. To join the Portland Sea Dogs in going to bat for kids with cancer, make a donation of any amount to honor 25 years of Slugger Kids and their bravery in their battles against cancer.
