NORWAY, Maine — Through a joint venture with MaineHealth and in partnership with Stephens Memorial Hospital, Concentra® will open Concentra Oxford, an occupational health and urgent care center in the Oxford Hills community. This collaboration will promote convenient, high-quality urgent care services to Stephens Memorial Hospital patients, so patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

Concentra Oxford will give Stephens Memorial Hospital and MaineHealth patients additional access to non-emergent care for minor injuries and illnesses that can’t wait for a primary care provider, but do not require an emergency department visit. Concentra clinicians will operate the Oxford medical center in close clinical collaboration with Stephens providers.

“Our community needs more immediate and convenient access to high-quality, non-emergency care,” shares Stephens Memorial Hospital President Andrea Patstone. "We are pleased by this partnership and excited to bring another affordable care option to our community in support of our vision of ‘working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.’"

Local employers can continue to use the Concentra Oxford medical center for employer health services, including workers’ compensation, injury care, pre-and-ongoing employment screenings, physicals, and regulatory exams.

“Concentra has served the Maine and greater Oxford area and its employers for years as an urgent care and occupational health provider,” said Maiya LaVerdure, vice president of Concentra operations. “We look forward to providing urgent care for Stephens Memorial Hospital patients as we continue to serve Maine employers and keep their employees strong, healthy, and safe at work.”

The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. Concentra accepts all major insurance plans, and the Oxford Hills location welcomes patients two years of age and older. Patients under two years of age should see a pediatrician.

The medical center, conveniently located in the Oxford Plaza at 1570 Main Street in Oxford Maine, next to Ocean State Job Lots, is anticipated to open in December 2021.
