NORTH CONWAY, NH – Memorial Hospital hosted its annual Employee Awards Banquet at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort in North Conway, NH, to recognize staff for years of service and to honor staff with accolades from Employee of the Year to a Teamwork Award. The 80’s themed event saw over 200 employees and guests turn out to celebrate.

Memorial also honored long-term employees with its annual Service Awards, where staff receive service pins marking years of service ranging from 5-40 years.

Memorial's Chief Medical Officer Ray Rabideau, MD reached the 40 year mark. While he was not able to attend, he did write a statement which was read at the event. In it he shared, “This year, I am the proud recipient of the forty years of service award, the journey for which seemed to have just started yesterday.”
“In the past I have jokingly complained about receiving another award for age rather than for merit, and this year, with all of the recent changes we have seen, I am willing to accept that there is merit to commitment, a merit that is priceless.”

“I had been taught many years ago that decisions that are made from the heart, may not always make the best sense from a business perspective, but often reap rewards which are immeasurably meaningful and fulfilling. Hence the decision I made in 1978 to practice in North Conway. My heart decided for me that I needed to be part of a community in need and that community was defined as the Mount Washington Valley and the Memorial Hospital.”
