Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on enabling people of all ages to live life to its fullest despite specific illness, injury, or disability by participating in meaningful and purposeful activities of daily living (occupations). Areas addressed are activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding), home management, safety, and upper extremity range of motion, strength and function.

Occupational Services
Memorial Hospital's occupational therapy services can provide patients with a number of opportunities to improve their ability to live a normal life:
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)/ home management training
- Recommendations for adaptive equipment and training
- Hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder dysfunction
- Custom static splinting for the hand and wrist
- Cognitive assessments/retraining
- Energy conservation and work simplification training with cardio/pulmonary patients
- Pre-operative teaching classes for total joint candidates and shoulder surgeries
