Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine is now an ACGME-accredited training site for emergency medicine services (EMS) medicine. We offer a 1-year training program for emergency physicians seeking a career, and board certification, in EMS medicine. We are the only EMS fellowship program in Northern New England and are very excited to recruit our very first fellow!

MMC has partnered with the Portland Fire Department (the busiest 911 service in Maine) and LifeFlight of Maine (Maine’s only helicopter critical care transport service) to provide a robust and exciting clinical experience for trainees. Our fellowship faculty work at all levels of EMS, allowing fellows insight into:

• Regional medical direction
• Statewide medical direction
• National specialty services
