Training the Next Generation of Developmental Disorder Care Providers
The Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Development Disorders is committed to advancing the care of people with developmental disabilities through ongoing training and mentorship of health care professionals who are interested in this field. Building the next generation of expert care providers for the developmentally delayed population is one of our most important responsibilities. We offer training experiences in social work, behavioral analysis, clinical research, psychiatry, psychology (coming soon) and speech language pathology (coming soon).

Whether you are serving as an educational technician or gaining valuable experience on your way to becoming a nurse, social worker or other clinical role, the center provides many opportunities to learn and grow.
As a direct care provider you will receive intensive training and support so you can to do your job with confidence and compassion. All care team members are trained as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). This professional credential goes above and beyond state requirements but will provide you with the tools your need for success. Once certified, you will receive regular supervision in behavioral treatment skills and concepts. Bi-weekly clinical case reviews and a calendar of public trainings and lectures round out your educational opportunities.
Care team members also benefit from working in a clinical research environment, where innovative research studies are ongoing. And our beautiful facilities, constructed with generous support from our community, provide an inspiring environment to work and learn. Team members enjoy a new staff break room with kitchenette and computers, an outdoor patio, a learning library and a dedicated lactation room.
