Employee Assistance Program

Some employers have contracted with Maine Behavioral Healthcare to offer employees and their families the services of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Your EAP can provide you with professional counseling and referral resources to help you resolve personal, work-related and family problems.

How the EAP Works

Provides resource information:
EAP Services are available to address any work or life-related issue that has the potential to interfere with your wellness, job performance or family life. EAP professionals are trained to listen and help.

If you contact your EAP for resource information on child care, elder care, legal, financial or other practical concerns, you will be given researched referrals.

Provides counseling:
Your EAP’s goal is to find the best way to resolve any problems you are experiencing. You will meet with a licensed mental health professional that has a broad range of experience and expertise. The EAP counselor will help you to resolve your concerns or will discuss other options if longer-term counseling is appropriate.

We will offer you an appointment within three working days of your initial call. Call today!
