Why Maine Medical Center: Maine Med had the perfect mixture of a tertiary care and community hospital. The Addiction Medicine Fellowship is grounded in Family Medicine, facilitating care throughout all phases of life. The faculty are passionate and there are extremely interesting programs happening surrounding it. Also, the relationship with the VA allows for care of intensely complex patients who also have use disorders.
