Rebecca Bryant Jaynes, LCPC

I am a licensed mental health practitioner with over 20 years of experience in helping children, adolescents, adults and families to reach their personal goals of health, wellness, balance and self-acceptance.  I most enjoy working with young adults who are experiencing early symptoms of psychosis, which include perceptual and thought-based changes and distortions under stress and intense emotion.  Together, we use cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis, an evidence-based model, to learn new ways to ultimately harness symptom experiences to yield better self-understanding, so participants often feel stronger and more actualized as a result of what they’ve been through as experience.  I work on a trans-disciplinary First Episode Psychosis (FEP) treatment team of skilled providers that offer problem-solving groups, family psychoeducation, employment/education support, independence coaching and peer connections through strength in recovery. My favorite part of my job is seeking out the strength that emerges from struggle and the wellness that rises from illness; then, actively cultivating everyday steps and choices toward health.  I’m lucky to be working on a great team that shares this vision.
