Sports Screenings by Memorial providers held at Kennett High School

August 15, 2019

North Conway, NH -- In anticipation of the upcoming fall sports season, Mount Washington Valley Rural Health Providers and staff performed their annual sports screenings at Kennett High School Tuesday Evening. Twenty-one local athletes completed the Pre-Participation Screenings that are provided free of charge as a service to the community by Memorial Hospital and Kennett High School. Although the Pre-Participation Evaluations do not replace a yearly physical with a Primary Care Provider, the screening process is comprehensive to determine a student’s ability to participate in sports.

The goal of these evaluations are to promote safe participation, as well as maintain the health and safety of the student athletes. In collaboration with Mount Washington Valley Rural Health Primary Care, the Kennett High School Athletics Department has provided this service to local student athletes for the past five years.

Mount Washington Valley Rural Health Primary Care has served the community since 1978. They are a multidisciplinary group of Family Practitioners with sub-specialists in Behavioral Health, Diabetes and Pediatrics. They offer an array of health services for prevention and treatment of acute and chronic illness for all age groups in both outpatient and inpatient settings. For information please contact the office at 603-356-5472. For information regarding Kennett High School Sports please contact the Athletic Department at 603-356-4343.
