NORTH CONWAY, NH – Memorial Hospital’s Merriman House recently held a celebration to recognize ongoing supporters, Ed and Nancy Grove, of Brownfield, ME for their generous donation of $8,800 to update Merriman’s beauty salon.

The salon received a total make-over, from a fresh coat of paint and stylish décor to updated fixtures, and everything in between. According to Terese Billeaud, Merriman House Activities Coordinator, staff were able to replace the outdated equipment and upgrade the salon chair, making the space more accessible to all residents.

“We are so appreciative of the enhancements we were able to make to the salon due to the generosity of the Groves,” says Katie Graziano, RN, Merriman House Director of Nursing. “Residents love having their hair done in the salon. It is a real treat for them and just one of the ways we ensure that our residents are treated with the dignity they deserve.”
The Merriman House, a long-term residential facility located within Memorial Hospital, has been in operation since 1978. The skilled staff at Merriman offer a home-like atmosphere focused on compassionate and personalized care that promotes each resident's quality of life.
