(Saco) - This #GivingTuesday, MaineHealth Care at Home will participate in this national fundraising event by inviting employees to a flash PTO (Planned Time Off) drive on Nov. 27th!

All donations will benefit the Susan Hirschberg Linet Fund, a partnership with MaineHealth Care at Home, which assists patients with chronic or serious illness to obtain needed medical supplies and caregiver respite services.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on Nov. 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.

This year, #GivingTuesday falls in November which is Home Care & Hospice Month! As an organization, this is our time to celebrate the accomplishments of all employees who provide essential care and support to patients across our Maine.

Employees of MaineHealth Care at Home will have the opportunity to pledge a portion of their PTO starting November 27th through December 31st, 2018, but you can do your part too!

We invite any and all members of the community to join us in #GivingTuesday. If you or a loved one have received home care and would like to show appreciation, or is you would simply like to support the our mission, please fill out our online donation form and select the Linet Fund as your designation. All donations are welcome- you can even leave a dedication!
