Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital to Host Valley Spring Social on April 28

April 03, 2018

NORTH CONWAY, NH – The Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital invites you to brush off those winter blues and embrace spring at their Valley Spring Social, taking place Saturday, April 28, 2918, 7pm – midnight at Zip’s Pub at Cranmore Mountain Resort. Proceeds from the event will benefit Memorial Hospital’s Community Health for Life Initiative. This fund supports community health efforts for all ages from children to elders, including school-based wellness initiatives, healthy aging programs such as falls prevention and advance care planning, plus social and emotional wellness services.

The event is semi-formal and tickets are $50 per ticket in advance and tickets are $60 at the door. This is the second year that the Medical Staff has organized a hospital fundraiser and this year they are changing it up to be a little more casual but just as fun in a more central location in North Conway.

The event will feature D.J. entertainment, music, games, photo booth and also bringing back the very popular beverage garden, offering brews and beverages from local breweries and distilleries.

Tickets includes entry to the beverage garden with samplings from Moat Mountain, Tamworth Distilling, Tuckerman Brewery, Saco River Brewery and Hobb’s Tavern participating.

The evening includes games for prizes, photo booth, for fun and an opportunity for a more formal photo keepsake. There will also be complimentary hors d’oeuvres stations serving up menu items that will include but will not be limited to canapes, prosciutto wrapped melon, Bavarian pretzels with assorted mustards and more.

While this event is planned as a fun filled evening, net proceeds will benefit Memorial Hospital’s community health initiative, with funds restricted for use right here in the Mt. Washington Valley.

The Valley Spring Social organizing committee is made up of Ana Paula Cochran, Mary Anne Taylor, Patty Keane, Celine Tinkham, Sarah Bates, Marc Daigle, Becky Adams, and Mary Vigeant.

Committee chair Mary Vigeant is a nurse practitioner in Memorial’s Emergency Department and also a member of the hospital’s Board of Trustees. Vigeant stated, “The Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital is pleased to support our community health initiatives. It’s a fun way to get together during Mud Season, and enjoy some comradery, good food, good music and dancing all for a good cause.”
