Twenty Maine Medical Partners specialty practice sites have been given the highest level of recognition for patient-centered care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

PORTLAND, Maine – The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has awarded 20 Maine Medical Partners specialty practice sites with Level 3 Patient-Centered Specialty Practice Recognition, the highest level possible. NCQA recognition is earned by specialty practices that demonstrate evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care, long-term relationships with patients and family members, and collaboration with primary care.

“This achievement is the result of a coordinated and collaborative team effort that relied on a huge number of MMP staff, providers and leaders,” said Joel Botler, M.D., Chief Medical Officer for Maine Medical Center and Interim President Maine Medical Partners. “MMP has set a new, higher bar for delivering patient-centered care.”
