Acupuncture
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.
Acupuncture encourages the energy channels in the body to run freely. The needles stimulate the nervous system to release chemical or hormones to influence the body's own internal regulating system.
Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization for treatment of digestive disorders, respiratory disorders, neurological and muscular disorders, urinary, menstrual and reproductive problems.
