Maine Behavioral Healthcare is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and sustain a high-quality, integrated system of mental health providers across the southernmost 11 counties of Maine. The goals of the system are to ease access to care for clients and to reduce the cost of care delivery by sharing resources among providers.
Spring Harbor is southern Maine's premier provider of inpatient services for individuals who experience acute mental illness or dual disorders issues. Our freestanding, not-for-profit hospital serves children, adolescents, and adults, and offers 24-hour information and referral, voluntary and involuntary hospitalization, comprehensive discharge planning, and outpatient care in the Greater Portland area.
The General Psychiatry Residency at Maine Medical Center is certified by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education for four years of postgraduate training. We are part of an excellent tertiary care hospital with over 200 house officers in 20 residency and fellowship programs, including a child psychiatry residency training solidly integrated into the hospital setting.
The Geriatric Assessment Clinic is staffed by an interdisciplinary team consisting of a Geriatrician, an Occupational Therapist, a Physical Therapist and a Social Worker. The team focuses on elder health and age-related issues that can impact functional independence and quality of life for seniors. All team members are either board certified or licensed and have broad experience in Geriatrics."Southern Maine Agency on Aging." We provide older adults and their families with information, guidance, education, and programs for their social, financial, and home care needs. SMAA is an Aging and Disability Resource Center. Our services extend throughout Maine's York and Cumberland counties.
Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. We provide services to those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias; advocate for policy change and research funding; and advance research toward prevention, treatment and cure.

The toll free 2-1-1 hotline connects callers to trained call specialists who can help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Finding the answers to health and human services questions and locating resources is as quick and easy as dialing 2-1-1 or visiting their website.
We understand that providing quality healthcare services to you or your loved one is expensive and we recognize that your health care coverage may not cover all of your bill. At Maine Medical Center, we provide a number of programs that may assist you with payment of your bill. These programs include Free Care or Discount Programs for eligible patients, as well as an interest free Monthly Payment Plan.
