Meet Stella

Stella became a patient of The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital before she was even born, as doctors planned for her arrival and a potential surgery. After a 10-day stay in the NICU where she received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis, Stella was discharged without needing surgery. Her mom credits a hopeful pep talk from the BBCH NICU staff for sending them home with a positive “we can DO THIS!” attitude, one that their family maintains today.
