WOW! Rewards 2016

If you’re eligible for MaineHealth benefits and were hired before May 1, 2016, you can participate and earn Rewards—even if you don’t enroll in a MaineHealth health plan.

If you are enrolled in our health plan and cover a spouse/partner in the MaineHealth health plan, we want you both to be well. That’s why we offer an incentive for you both to participate in WOW! Rewards.

Why should I participate?

When you and your covered spouse/partner participate, you can earn:

  • Up to $250 if you meet Health Targets or complete an Alternative Program
  • A lower cost for health insurance. Non-participants will pay more for MaineHealth health insurance in 2017—$600 if you don’t participate and $600 more if your covered spouse/partner doesn’t participate.

When you and your covered spouse/partner both participate, you avoid paying an additional $1,200 for health insurance.

How do I participate?

You (and your spouse partner enrolled in a MaineHealth health plan) must take a Health Screening and complete a Health Assessment between June 1 and August 31.

  • Go to a NorDx lab. Go the the WOW home page, click on “Book your Health Screening” to view the master schedule and learn more.
  • Screen with your Primary Care Provider (PCP). If you visit your PCP between January 1, 2016, and August 31, 2016, you can ask him or her to send your height, weight and blood pressure information directly to NorDx using the Provider Screening Form.

Screen by July 31 and you will be entered in a weekly drawing to win a prize.

Take your Health Assessment.

The Health Assessment is an online questionnaire about your health and lifestyle habits. Access the Health Assessment through the WOW! Health Portal (WebMD). You will see your Health Screening results in the WOW! Health Portal (WebMD) within five to seven days after they are received by NorDx.

Review the How to Use the WOW! Health Portal (WebMD) overview for tips for site use.

Do I have to take a tobacco test this year?

No; not in 2016. However, if you or your covered spouse/partner self-declared as a tobacco user or tested positive for tobacco in 2015, this is your chance to rescreen. You (or your spouse/partner) can elect to take a tobacco test at NorDx. Tobacco screening results from your primary care provider won’t be accepted.

If you are currently paying the $1,200 tobacco fee and want it removed, you (and your covered spouse/partner who tested positive for tobacco) must demonstrate that you are living tobacco-free or that you are making an effort to do so.

If you and your covered spouse/partner both tested positive for tobacco, BOTH of you must either test negative for tobacco by August 31, 2016 OR complete the Quit For Life Program® .

If either you or your covered spouse/partner tests positive, the tobacco fee will apply.
