Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who work at Stephens Memorial Hospital were honored for their unique contribution to patient care recently by their fellow employees says Nurse Director, Anita Day, RN, MSN.
The 35 CNAs who are either regular or per diem employees enjoyed a bulletin board in their honor with photos of each of them, they were treated to cake and given bags stating "One Person Can Make a Difference," the theme of the celebration.
Day shares, "These people work side by side with our nurses and are active members of our team. The CNA is at the bedside taking vital signs, ambulating patients, and assisting patients when they are too weak to feed or bathe themselves. They provide a much needed ear for listening to concerns as well. Their tasks are too numerous to include, however are important to their patients and other staff. We salute them for consistently doing what they do!"
