SMH Announces Level III Nurses
Registered nurses Jeanne Rosato, RN, BSN, CBC, (below) has obtained the status of Clinical Nurse III in the Nursing Advancement Program at Stephens Memorial Hospital (SMH). The Nursing Advancement Program was established to enhance professional growth and development, and recognize achievements. Level III Clinical Nurses demonstrate consistently high standards of caring, expertise, professional behavior, leadership, communication skills and extraordinary attention to safety.
Rosato has worked in The Family Birthplace at SMH for 3 years. Prior to starting at the hospital she worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital and Northeast Hospital Corporation in Massachusetts. Jeanne attended the Salem State College, attaining her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Jeanne serves on the Nursing Community Outreach Council and is the chair of the OB Council. Jeanne is a certified breast feeding counselor, is NRP certified and is a Reiki Master/Teacher.
In addition to Jeanne's appointment, registered nurses Jo Elliott (left) & Karen Thurston (below) have continued the status of Clinical Nurse III in the Nursing Advancement Program at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
The Nursing Advancement Program was established to enhance professional growth and development, recognize achievement and hard work, and to retain qualified nursing staff. Both Thurston and Elliott earned their Level III status in 2008. To be continued, each Level III nurse has to participate in continuing education programs in their specialty, participate in committees and act as a role model to peers.
In her renewal, Karen was praised for her positive attitude and willingness to work with others to continuously improve patient care. Jo's positive contributions come in the way of mentoring/precepting, shared governance, and her participation in evidence based nursing practice.
